"My son had attended a private middle school with no music program. His father and I wanted him to have musical exposure as well. So, he began taking lessons on the drum set from Dave. When my son entered public high school, he entered the band program and had a great deal of catch up to do as a percussionist (they play many instruments in both clefs). Dave helped my son learn it all and easily catch up to other students who had been in band programs for four years. My son ended up on the quads in drum line and was in the Symphony Band (highest HIgh School band level). Dave is an excellent teacher. His musicianship is, of course, outstanding. And, on top of that, he is supportive, positive, motivating, encouraging, patient and creative. He is a very very nice human being and is also very funny. My son (who is now in College) still loves seeing Dave. Students look up to him, respect him and learn a great deal from him. I then began lessons with Dave (on electric bass).
